The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Exodus 14:14 "The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace."

When the Israelites' captivated by Egyptians God sent 10 plagues to Egyptians that never happened to the land of Egypt neither by the Egyptians.

The last plague brought to Egyptians to cast out the Israelites out of the land of Egypt.

But Pharaoh (king of Egypt) changed his mind Exodus 14:5 "And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?"  because they don't have servants to do the works that Israelites' left.

Pharaoh chooses the best warrior he has and decided to chase after Israelites in Exodus 14:2 "Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea."

Exodus 14:10 "And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD."

When the Israelites saw that Pharaoh and his warriors were at their back chasing after them, they cried out before God because they know that they don't have a way to escape in the hands of angry Egyptians; because at their front was the red sea. If they will continue to walk and escape probably they will also die.

Israelites continue to cry out and they start to murmur against Moses Exodus 14:11 "And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?"

Exodus 14:12 "Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness."

Israelites' murmuring shows theirs disbelieve and mistrust of God despite the mighty works of God they witnessed from the land of Egypt until in the wilderness.

As a result of this, to bring back their belief and trust in God, Moses encourages the people of God saying: Exodus 14:13 "And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever." Exodus 14:14 "The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace."

After this God shows his mighty works to His people. Exodus 14:15 "And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:"

Exodus 14:16 "But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea."

Moses did what the Lord told him to do: Exodus 14:21 "And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. "

THE MIGHTY WORKS OF GOD NEVER FAILS. HE WILL ALWAYS CONSIDER THE SITUATION OF HIS PEOPLE.

The key why they show mighty works of God because they actually obey and trust what Moses said to them, and wait for the salvation God prepared for them.

RESULT: The Israelites show the mighty works of God, and they were saved by God indeed!

SPIRITUAL SIGHT/APPLICATION

We can consider ourselves as Israelites surrounded by adversaries. Surrounded meaning there is no way out to escape from what circumstances we have.

Do you experience these kinds of situations? do you experience having circumstances and you don't know what to do?

Israelites' did is to cry out before God this is the first thing that they did. We can do what they did but not in the way that our belief and trust in God will fade and fail.

We can cry out to God through PRAYER that we believe and trust God that He can save us in circumstances we faced in.

God has a promise to Israelites, and also this verse is a promise to each one of us: Exodus 14:14 "The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace."

What is it? THE LORD SHALL FIGHT FOR YOU.

God wants us to trust Him and obey His words, especially when we are in circumstances that we don't know what to do because doing what God wants will lead us to peace of mind.

Brethren,

Whatever circumstances you've faced, always remember God will fight for us, He'll never leave and forsake you in times of trouble, bad circumstances you face.

God will not let us face bad circumstances alone!

Trust and obey God always and you'll see every work of God in your life.

Be still and know the God we serve is the God who is mighty to save.

BRETHREN, THE LORD SHALL FIGHT FOR YOU.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

Pray with all your heart
