Spiritual Fatigue

Spiritual Fatigue

In this fast-paced world, the tiredness of our whole being can easily manifest through our character in a given situation.

And ministers are not excused from the world's tiredness and spiritual fatigue. Whatever position you were in, in the church this blog is for you all.

I am very concerned with all the Christians out there who are positively and actively working in the ministry. You are not exempted from spiritual fatigue. You might say, the Lord we served is abundantly in strength and a giver of that strength but as we are just humans we can also experience spiritual fatigue.

Ministers, you've heard so many things about how strong the Lord is. But how we knew about this why do we experience spiritual fatigue?

1. When we allow to believe in the lies of the devil.

That we are nothing. We do nonsense. This is the common lie of the devil to all Christians. Sadly, plenty of Christians today easily bite this kind of lies of the Devil.

This bait and tactics of the devil is not only happening in our generations but happened since God created the first man, Adam. Temptation of the Devil never rested after Lucifer was thrown and kicked out of heaven, but he, Lucifer tries this tactic in the beginning.

Why? Lucifer, now Satan is not only an ordinary angel in heaven but he is a presider, one who leads the praise and worship in heaven. He has a big part in heaven. He first ministered in heaven. He knows the feeling, he knows the weight of responsibility.

That's why this would be one powerful weapon used by Satan on all Christians today. Planting poison in the mind of all Christian ministers especially to them that are looking for extensive results in their ministry or  I might say, IMMEDIATE EXTENSIVE POSITIVE RESULT IN THE MINISTRY.

2. Lost of meaning and purpose.

Don't get me wrong this second reason why many Christians Ministers today experience spiritual fatigue is because they lost the meaning and purpose of 'why they are in the ministry'. Sometimes, Christian ministers ask God for their purpose even they are in the middle of the journey of their spiritual lives.

Yes, in the journey we become like the Israelites, they easily forget why the Lord remove them from Egypt and the purpose of the long-long journey they take. They murmur, they said wrong things against Moses and to other leaders. We are like them in the way we walking right now, we knew from the beginning why God removed us from our old selves and give us ur new selves. New beginning. But then, we ask Him with pleading what is our purpose.

Does it make sense? right? And we will wait for the answer of the Lord, and if there's none, we let our sulky emotions strife us in the heart. As a result, we will end in the conclusion that the Lord never called us into the ministry as a result, we will not do the will of the Lord.

Well, ministers before we say 'yes' to the Lord, I do believe we are the wise king in Luke 14:31 "Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?"  We sit and think many times before we follow Christ, right? While sitting and thinking the Lord put meaning and purpose of His calling in our hearts, so, why ministers lost the meaning and purpose in your heart?

3. Emotional Baggage.

Ministers, Being in the ministry we encounter different situations every day.  We cannot hide the fact that we bear emotional baggage not only emotions because of what is happening to us personally, but also, emotionally attached to all that is around us.

We are not Rock, without emotions. The Lord never gives us an emotionless heart, a rock heart. But He gives us a flesh heart. Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

Heart of flesh means freshness. Without sin. A new heart. A heart that is not emotionless. Therefore, we can feel the emotions of the person that we're talking to. And we cannot teach our hearts not to carry their problems especially when they are close to us.

Thus, emotional baggage is one of the reasons why we feel spiritual fatigue nowadays. We cannot contain the emotion that was in us. The Lord knows this, that's why He said in Psalms 55:22 "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."  Ministers, we cannot carry our problems and emotions we need to give all to the Lord. If and if you want to stay serving the Lord.

4. Loss of God's connection.

Ministers, are you still connected with the Lord? This question is very important to answer. We need to dig deeper. We need to think deeper. We need to look at ourselves in the spiritual mirror and ask the Lord, "I am still connected to the Lord?"

MINISTERS, WE CANNOT MINISTER TO OTHERS WITHOUT MINISTERING TO THE LORD.

Losing connection with the Lord is very dangerous, it is like fighting without armor. So then, if we losloser connection with the Lord, we cannot win the spiritual fights in the ministry. How can we stay in the ministry? How can we fight the spiritual fatigue that is attacking us?

We cannot win. We cannot be an overcomer without the Lord.

We will end our spiritual journey in a way we cannot imagine. The worst and the scariest way we ever think of.

Brethren,

I know staying in the ministry is tough. How much more staying in the ministry with spiritual fatigue Can we last? Can we stay happy? Can we make genuine work before the Lord?

I guess not.

Moreover, We cannot please God in every way if we are in our spiritual fatigue because we cannot do the ministry works with love and compassion but rather do it because it needed to be done.

Brethren, are you in spiritual fatigue right now? if yes, ask the Lord's help and he will never have the second thought to help you. Trust me. He will help you immediately and give you the strength to fight and press on.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY
