How's your heart?

The heart is part of the human body that cannot be removed and still, you will remain alive. It is the part of the body that brings someone to life. It is also one of the parts of the body that I can say is very important.

Hold your heart, feel its beat, and ask your self  "How are you before God?"

I told you before in my previews blog posts that our hearts are very important to the Lord, He tries the hearts of all men. 

Our heart is not hidden in the sight of the Lord, in this way the Lord feels sad because of what He can see in all men's hearts. 

There is a song that I heard a long time ago, it is a Tagalog Christian song and the lyrics say: "Ito ang panahon na hindi uso ang backslide" (this is not the generation of backsliding), But I tell you this is the day of backsliding! Many Christians today are backsliders, even if they are in the church God considers them as BACKSLIDERS

One of the types of backsliding is Backslider in the heart.

The Backslider in the heart is the most deceptive type of backsliding. How deceptive it is?:

1. It is deceptive because it is ill of heart that cannot recognize until you fall into emptiness and destruction.

2. It is deceptive because you do also what the true believers do but your heart is not with it. Matthew 15:8  This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 

3. It is deceptive because you feel and think the same, you're okay and healthy spiritually but you're not.  

4. It is the most deceptive because you are still in the church doing things for God but in the sight of God, it is vain. 

HOW TO KNOW IF YOU'RE A BACKSLIDER IN THE HEART

1. You are doing spiritual things to be recognized by others. Many Christians today are hypocrites, they are more on man's pleaser rather than God's pleaser. They want the spotlights, they want recognition, and they want to be noticed as God's pleaser. 

2. You are doing spiritual things to impress someone. They are Christians that will do all things to impress others. They want to do all things in the church even if they are not good at it, even if they're not asked to do it, and even if there are specific people to do it. They want all eyes to be on them. If there is a newcomer or believer in the church they will not give them (newcomer) part in the ministry. Ayaw na ayaw inland masasapawan. Sila ang magaling. Sila ang bida. 

3. You are doing spiritual things but have a wrong motive. They are Christians who do ministry works but have wrong motives, like, to impress someone, to prove that they are mature spiritually, to prove that they know what is right and acceptable in Christ. Full of pride and self-justification. 

4. You are doing spiritual things but full of pride. They are Christians who don't want to be corrected. They think they know much better. They are Christians that are easy to be offended when someone is taking a stand to correct them. 

5. You are doing spiritual things because someone says so, and you are just afraid not to follow. They are Christians doing things out of love but with fear. They are Christians who are comfortable doing what they are just told. They don't like to do anything even if they knew it was the will of the Lord. They are Christians who are easy to be manipulated. 

6. You are doing spiritual things but not the way you do it when you first accept the Lord Jesus Christ. They are Christians who are habitually doing spiritual things. They are doing things outside of love, excitement, longing, and wanting, they're just doing it for the sake they doing it. They are Christians who are doing things physically but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually absent. 

A backslider in the heart is very dangerous! It won't lead anyone to follow Christ the way God wants. It won't also lead someone to remain what God entrusted him. The worst is he won't immediately know that what is in him will die gradually, even what the Lord entrusted Him is the Holy Spirit baptism, the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and Fruits of the Holy Spirit.

This is an ill of the heart that Christians must understand its existence. A spirit that must be cost out to every Christian life!

Brethren

Let us look at ourselves today and examine our hearts to God. How are you before God? Did you do the same as you do before the Lord? Doing all things in the name of Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength? 

Or you're doing spiritual things for the sake of your pleasure STOP IT, and do what God's pleasure.
