What is always in your mind will tell who you are and what is your most priority. Our mind can be occupied by the things that are in the world, and the Lord that must be the center of our mind can be out of place. Read more
4. YOUR MIND CAN BE A PLAYGROUND OF SATAN AND THE DEVIL
This will be our topic for today.
YOUR MIND CAN BE A PLAYGROUND OF SATAN OR THE DEVIL
Have you seen a playground? Or have you been on a playground?
They said a childhood experienced never be complete without going to a playground.
A playground is a place where people are engaged to have some fun. Most of them are children who are having fun on their own selves, making friends, having enemies, getting their clothes messy, having their new wounds, some of them exploring what abilities they can do, and exploring things that they can do and not.
If we look at them seems children having fun and forget about things that might harm them. They also left the playground messy.
Let us look further on children at the playground and let's connect it on what we want to tackle about "OUR MIND CAN BE A PLAYGROUND OF SATAN OR THE DEVIL"
Like what I've said in the previous messages "what is in your mind", our mind has a door and the key to open and closed that door is not other than our own decisions. Making a decision to our own selves is always comes first to our mind. We cannot deny the fact that our mind is open to suggestions and possibilities that we want to happen in our lives.
And sometimes our decisions are not purely coming to God. Do you know that? Are you aware of that? Why did I say that? Because our minds sometimes are looking for what we want rather than what we need, our mind is always open to what just we want!
Because of this, we let the devil play in our mind, he puts suggestions and possibilities that seem like it's from God but it is not.
The Devil is aware of when and where he will put suggestions and possibilities in our minds, especially when we are in a situation that we don't know what to do. When we don't do what is the right thing to do first to make decisions in our lives.
What is it? SEEK ADVICE FROM GOD THRU PRAYER.
That's why God said in
Proverbs 3:5-7
[5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
[6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
[7] Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
God is requiring all of us to not stand on our own understanding, to not leaning in our own ways, and not to be wise on our own eyes (ways) but we should TRUST, LEAN ON GOD'S KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING, IN THESE WE SHALL BE WISE.
The word TRUST here means properly to hie for refuge, confidence, or sure. IT IS PUTTING YOUR 100% OF TRUST IN THE LORD, ANY DOUBT IS ABSENT.
And the word LEAN here means to stay. IT IS STAYING ON THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING (WISDOM) OF GOD NO MATTER WHAT HE REQUIRES YOU TO DO.
RESULT: GOD WILL DIRECT YOUR PATHS.
Brethren
We should be wise in these last days. The devil is like a roaring lion and seeking whom he may devour!
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
If you are not aware of how you decide on things now, think about what you should do first, it is seeking the Lord's advice through prayer.
I believe that we don't want to be deceived by the devil in these last days. Remember the devil is using all his abilities to enter your mind and like what the children do at the playground, he will do the same in your mind.
The devil will have fun to put whatever thought in your mind, He will never think and concern if you'll be hurt, and he will live you messed up or ruined.
ALWAYS HAVE THE FEAR OF THE LORD THAT WILL LEAD YOU TO DEPART FROM EVIL THOUGHTS.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY
I pray that your mind will be filled with knowledge and wisdom that comes to the Lord that you'll know what is the Lord's way and not.
I plead the blood of Jesus to cover you, in Jesus' name, Amen.
