1 Peter 1:16 "Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." |
In my previews blog “Are you ready to face Jesus?” I speak about my reasons why I cannot face Jesus yet, my first reason is “I’m not prepared” and the second one which I’m going to share with you is “I’m not like In Jesus’ image”.
The image is very important to a person. It is a visible representative of the external form of a human or a person. We are recognized and identified by someone because of our image.
Being a Christian or a believer of God, image is very important. As a believer of God, we are recognized or identify not because we introduced ourselves to others, but the first recognized and identified us because of our image.
Sometimes some people shocked when they knew that someone is a Christian or a believer of God, or sometimes they never recognized and identified someone that they are already a Christian, and the problem always falls into their image.
Because of our wrong image we put the name of God in shame.
Wherefore, how important is our image? and how important our image to God?
GOD’S IMAGE
In the beginning, when God created the first men Adam and Eve, they were created as like the image of God, Himself.
Genesis 1:27
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
HIS OWN IMAGE means IMAGE THAT HAS NO SIN, AN IMAGE OF HOLINESS.
Adam and Eve were created by God in His image. IMAGE THAT IS HOLY.
And this image was broken when the first men created committed sin against God.
Genesis 3: 1 - 7
[1] Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye, shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
[2] And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
[3] But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
[4] And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
[5] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
[6] And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
[7] And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
The image of holiness is the image God is looking for.
He wants the image of holiness to restore to all humankind.
That’s why Old Testament to the New Testament, God requires all men to be HOLY FOR HE IS HOLY.
Leviticus 20:7
"Sanctify yourselves, therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God."
1 Peter 1:16
"Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."
ARE YOU PREPARED TO MEET JESUS?
If yes, you are saying that you are HOLY now.
In heaven all creature that was there are holy, no one is unholy; unholy are not welcome to enter heaven.
Again, going and entering heaven is not an easy way as like 123 or ABC.
It is a hard process that we should obtain. Like Enoch, Elias, David, Abraham, Moses, John the Baptist, the Apostles, and other called men of faith.
They did what the Lord wants them to do, they separate themselves in the world, they continue in faith and giving pleasure to God despite the world’s sin that pushes them to sin against God.
Brethren,
If you want to meet Jesus by rapture or death; do what God requires and commanded to all men BE HOLY FOR HE IS HOLY.
To be holy, we must separate ourselves from the world, continue in faith, and give God’s pleasure despite the world’s sin that surrounds us and push us to sin against God.
Today, I’m speaking in faith “SEE YOU BRETHREN IN HEAVEN IN GOD’S PERFECT TIME.”
For I am sure we will strive to enter heaven, we will be prepared and holy to meet our Savior Jesus Christ in heaven. Amen!
