Did you experience or feel envy about someone's success? This feeling is not new to every one of us, sometimes we justified ourselves that this feeling is just a natural feeling that we can be felt anytime we saw someone's success or they are happy with what they had that we don't have.
Surprisingly, this feeling is not a natural feeling that a Christian must be felt.
Proverbs 27:4
"Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?"
WHO IS ABLE TO STAND BEFORE ENVY?
Envy is a character that seems natural to all men. The character that usually the root of all hatred, grudge, disappointments, sadness, bitterness, greediness, un-thankful, un-contentment, and being self-centered.
ORIGIN OF ENVY
This character is shown and known FIRST in heaven? By whom? By Lucifer - formerly one of Cherubim’s of God, who sinned against God and recruited 1/3 of God’s angels to be part of a rebellion against God.
He wants to be worshiped and he is longing for worship. Like want men and angels did to God, he wants all of this Isaiah 14:13-14. He filled his heart with envy and all its root of it.
This is the reason why God overthrew him! He lost his good condition in heaven, he LOST HIS SALVATION.
GOD SAYS ABOUT ENVY
1. 1 Corinthians 3:3 KJV For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying… - Those who envied against other is carnal.
2. James 3:16 KJV For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. – Envying is an evil work.
3. Galatians 5:21 KJV Envyings…that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. – Envy will not save you.
DO YOU FEEL ENVY?
Think about this, if God did not regret what He did to Lucifer, how about you? Did God spare your life and be saved? God forbid. God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). FOR GOD, SIN IS SIN.
ENVY IS A SIN, AND GOD NEVER TOLERATES SIN.
You usually feel envy when you are DISCONTENTED AND UNTHANKFUL for what you have. Do you want more than what the Lord has given you? Remember what you have is God’s blessing and your need, and you have to be contented and thankful even those that surround you have their best.
Why?
Truth: ENVY WILL KILL YOUR HAPPINESS AND YOUR SALVATION TOO. – you, yourself will kill your own happiness and you let your salvation be lost!

These are the days that you must not live in envy, but these are the days that you must live full of contentment and thanksgiving in your hearts in Christ Jesus, for this is the will of God concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “KJV In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
If seems envy is natural to all men, well, the answer is NO my brethren.
NO ONE IS ABLE TO STAND AGAINST ENVY. IT WILL KILL YOU LITERALLY AND SPIRITUALLY SPEAKING.
