WHAT IS THE CHARACTER OF JUDAS ISCARIOT?

WHO IS JUDAS ISCARIOT?

JUDAS ISCARIOT is one of the disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ, he was entrusted by Jesus in the ministry. One of Jesus entrusted him was to be a treasurer of the group.

He is a true believer and follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. He left everything, and forget his profession just for Jesus.

What he feels to Jesus at the beginning of his submission to Jesus’ authority was serious and genuine.

But we know Judas Iscariot begins to follow Jesus with a good motive, good heart, and with a right standing of heart to God, but he was ended up betraying God.

WHAT HAPPENED TO JUDAS ISCARIOT?

Judas Iscariot at the beginning he is already a lover of money, but Jesus gave him a chance to prove himself that he was already delivered from this state.

Truth, Judas felt and experience true deliverance from God.

But what happens to Judas is that he did not maintain his right standing with God, he never maintain the deliverance he received from God.

That’s why he ended up betraying Jesus which trusts him with everything in the ministry.

THE LORD TRUST YOU

DO WE LIKE JUDAS ISCARIOT?

We are like Judas Iscariot, we are disciples, followers of  Jesus. We can say that we also entrusted by God everything in the ministry of Jesus.

We also experienced deliverance, goodness, faithfulness, redemption, saved by God through Jesus. All that Judas Iscariot experienced through Jesus Christ, we actually experiencing that too.

But are we betraying Jesus also?

1 Timothy 6:10 ”For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

One of the reasons why we actually betrayed Jesus is because of loving money.
Maybe we might say I’m not a lover of money.

Believe it or not, we actually a lover of money, and we never recognized that in ourselves.

How many hours did you work? Did you still working even you know already that you’ll have to attend church services? Especially every Sunday. Where did you go first every Sunday? Did you do what Hebrews 10:25 teach you?

Hebrews 10:25  ”Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Secondly; We actually betraying Jesus, for not putting Him as our first priority. Matthew 6:33 ”But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”

God wants to be on your priority list. Be the number one on your list. That whatever you need to do on that day, God must be the number one.

Brethren,
This is the day that we should prove ourselves to God, on how we love Him.

Not on how we betraying Him, but on how we do what He entrusted us to do.

Be not like Judas Iscariot, who experienced the faithfulness, greatness, deliverance, goodness of the Lord but he chose to betray God!

We are saved and redeemed by God not to betray Him but to love Him, like the way He loved us, EVERLASTING LOVE.

Brethren Be not like Judas Iscariot who betrayed God, but we must unite ourselves to God.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Letter for my Brethren

I pray that you might enlighten by the Word of God, that by the life of Judas Iscariot we have the fear of God and choose to live faithfully with the Lord we serve. I plead the blood of Jesus to cover you, in Jesus' name, Amen.
