Are you looking for a sign? Sign that is from Zodiac Signs, Feng Shui, from the stars, and such like this, that will answer your question who will be your "the one"?
I know that every single woman and man is looking for their special someone. If you are not looking for it, maybe you were waiting for him/her to come. Right?
And because you can't wait for the right time, you will look for signs and read your Zodiac Sign, ask the Feng Shui, look for the stars, etc.
I am telling you, that looking for a sign is not for us as Christian.
In NEW TESTAMENT times, the apostles when they were in the upper room because of lack of knowledge at the time, they do casting lots. Acts 1:26 "And they gave forth their lots, and the lot fell upon Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles."
Although they prayed to the Lord, Acts 1:24 "And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, [25] That he may take part of t this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his place."
They didn't wait for God's move to give the one who will replace Judas Iscariot, but they do casting lots.
Casting lots is not of God! Therefore, God never answers in casting lots, neither to signs.
The Apostles did it for lack of knowledge, but as you know and see, Acts 1:26 is the first and last casting lots of Apostles. there are no other casting lots happen again.
They were waiting for God's answer and guidance of the Holy Spirit when they do things in the ministry.
Now, what is the connection to this to all Christians?
It is simple, many Christians today are asking and looking for a sign of the man who will be their "the one".
Not, waiting for the answer of the Lord, but rather, they let the emotion moves and follow the signs that they were asking.
Lack of knowledge. is what we have right now, that's why many are Christians who are in a relationship and got separated and divorced.
Is this the will of God? the answer is No. this is not the will of God to all believers. If God gives you a partner, this is not just for a couple or several years, but this is for a lifetime.
Are there any Bible accounts that you've read that there is a couple that was under God's will and got separated?
No one under God's will be shaken, drowned, and fall when bad circumstances hit, and or when temptations attack.
I am speaking as one of the single ladies out there, While it is still the month of the hearts, I want every one of us to be matured enough to understand that looking for love is not all about asking for signs, but it is all about asking for God's will alone.
Do you found "the one"? I won't tell you to break up with him or her if you've got into a relationship because of signs. But I suggest praying for him or her.
It is better to have a relationship and in the middle of your relationship is God. Right?
TO GOD BE THE GLORY
Letter for my Brethren
I pray all of us may find the will of the Lord and do it. I plead the blood of Jesus to cover you to protect you in all harm and plans of the devil, in Jesus' name, Amen.
