Have a Heart Full of Thanksgiving

Have you ever tried to help someone? Or I might say have you help someone? What did you expect from them in return?

Are we expecting them to say "thank you" right?

If they do what we are expecting them to do, we feel very happy if we hear them saying "Thank you" while they were smiling at us. 

If we are expecting from someone in return after we did good to them, God, also expecting a return from us. 

It is also giving thanks to Him for all He has done to us. 

NOTE: GIVING THANKS TO GOD IS NOT A SUGGESTION, IT IS A COMMAND.

Command that we need to do no matter what situation we were in.

In Old Testament Psalm 107:1 "O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." 

While in New Testament 1 Thessalonians 5:18 "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

All believers of God are expecting by God himself to give thanks to Him.

There is a lot of reasons why we need to give thanks to the Lord. But, today I will give some of the reasons why we need to give thanks to the Lord.

Here are those:

1. Psalm 107:1 "FOR HE IS GOOD"

All believers of God who believe that God is good MUST give thanks to the Lord.

THE LORD IS GOOD AND HE IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.

Being good of God, is one of the characters of God that will never change, no matter what happens, It is the nature of God for being good for anyone.

Every day, God is doing and giving good to everyone. Because of this, He is worthy to give thanks. Amen?

2. Psalm 107:1 "FOR HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER"

Believe it or not, all of us are living because of the mercy of God. if it is not so, we are all dead. 

How many of you are happy because you are still alive?

If you are happy, you give thanks to the Lord, NOW!

3. Psalm 92:1"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:"

According to this verse, GIVING THANKS TO THE LORD IS DOING GOOD DEED BEFORE THE LORD.

If you are giving thanks to the Lord, and you never forget to give thanks to Him, you are doing good to the Lord Himself. 

Colossians 2:6-7 [6] As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: [7] Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

How many of you accept the Lord Jesus Christ?

Why did I ask this question?

Because according to this verse EVERY HUMAN THAT ACCEPTS JESUS CHRIST AS THEIR LORD AND SAVIOR MUST GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD ABUNDANTLY.

It is not only giving thanks to the Lord, but we are commanding to give thanks to the Lord abundantly. 

Yes, abundantly!!

This is the good and right measurement of giving thanks to the Lord.

IF WE DO NOT GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD ABUNDANTLY, WE DO NOT GIVE THE GOOD AND RIGHT MEASURE OF THANKSGIVING TO THE LORD. 

Did you give thanks to the Lord? if yes, Did you do it abundantly?

WE ARE ALL REQUIRED TO GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD.

How many of you giving thanks to the Lord in the past year 2020?

Did God do good on you last year?

If yes, you have the reasons why you can give thanks to the Lord.

Even you experience not well last year or in the past years, still God did well on you. This is the reason why we require and are commanded to give thanks to the Lord.

If you did not give thanks to the Lord ABUNDANTLY, it is time for you to give it to the Lord this year.

LET'S START GIVING THANKS TO THE LORD ABUNDANTLY THIS YEAR.

I pray all of us may have the heart that always giving thanks to the Lord, no matter what we were experiencing. May the Holy Spirit pour The Spirit of thanksgiving in our hearts. I plead the blood of Jesus to cover you and protect you from all harm, in Jesus' name, Amen.
