Proverbs 2:4 - Be miner and treasure hunter

Seek the Lord

Mining and treasure hunting is a job that is considered a very dangerous job in the world. They actually risk their lives in their job.

Do you want to be a miner or to be a treasure hunter?   do you want to be or not to be? Spiritually speaking, you need to be a miner and treasure hunter.

BE A MINER AND TREASURE HUNTER

This article is not a job description or a job hiring for those who want to be a miner or a treasure hunter. Actually, this is a job description spiritually speaking for you as a believer of Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 2:4
"If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;"

Have you experience to mine or hunting a treasure? or do you have your gold, silver, or any precious stone, and you are the only one who just found it?

Do you have any experience looking for the valuable thing you know you have, but at the moment when you really need that "thing," you never know where did you put it? and you just looking it all over the place and yet you never find it? it feels frustrating right?

But, surprisingly as Christians, we are not yet done searching. Yes! you read it right, but please don't feel frustrated. Just continue reading.

Proverbs 2:4, we can find words that seek and searching. These words actually have the same meaning as the original Hebrew word.

These are not only just to search for something, but these words are talking about searching God, continually with a diligent heart.

SEARCH GOD CONTINUALLY WITH A DILIGENT HEART

Again, like what I have said, we are not yet DONE SEARCHING. As long as we live we must continue searching for our God.

We are searching for God whenever we  READ THE BIBLE, PRAYING, PRAISING, AND WORSHIPING HIM.

Now, as we do those things we must search God continually with a diligent heart. Like the miners and treasure hunters do when they are looking for precious stones and hidden treasures.

We should not stop searching God, for this is our daily job as a believer of Jesus Christ.

WHAT WILL BE THE BENEFIT(S) IF WE CONTINUALLY SEARCH GOD WITH A DILIGENT HEART?

Proverbs2:5 "Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God."

Firstly, WE WILL UNDERSTAND THE FEAR OF THE LORD. - The fear here is not literally fear, but it means reverence. When we do searching God, we completely understand why we should give Him deep respect.

Secondly, WE WILL FIND THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. – the knowledge that will understand God’s will.

Brethren,
As we can see here, searching God and finding Him is not for the benefit of God, but for the benefit of them that searched Him. Don't let time pass by without doing your part in searching for God.

The Bible said in Isaiah 55:6  "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:" -  as long we have time left, do what God requires us to do.

Searching for God is not a waste of time but it's worth doing.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY
Pray with your whole heart

Letter for my Brethren,

I pray your heart to be full and filled by the excitement every day to find for our God, as you find Him may you experience His mighty works in your life. I plead the Blood of Jesus to cover you to protect you from all harm, in Jesus' name, Amen.
