Joshua 9:14 What decision you make and how you decide for it?

JOSHUA 9:14 "And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the Lord"

WHAT DECISION do YOU MAKE AND HOW YOU DECIDE FOR IT?

DECISION

DECISION is a part of our daily lives. We make decisions in every situation we were in and even we decide for our own lives.

Every day we make a decision or decisions that we think is right, but sometimes we make a decision that we put our selves at risk.

Are you aware that you can’t do something or anything without making a decision or out of your decision?

Are you aware that any actions that you make, can actually either ruin your life or make you and your situation better just because of your decision?

How powerful our decisions can ruin your life or it can help you and your situation to be better.

Accept the truth: Who and what you are today is the result of the decisions you made.

 JOSHUA AND MEN OF ISRAEL

Literally and spiritually speaking Joshua and the men of Israel, make a decision that put them and Israel in danger.

What are those dangers?

1.  They let their enemies entered in. Joshua 9:15 “And Joshua made a league with them, to let them live: and the prince of the congregation sware unto them.”

2.  They let their enemies lived with them. Joshua 9:21 “And the princes said unto them, Let them live; but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water until all the congregation; as the princes had promised them."

One of the instructions of God to Israel that their enemies will be consumed or must be killed. They are not allowed to live with other nations for it will be a snare for Israelites.

Deuteronomy 7:16 “And thou shalt consume all the people which the Lord thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.”

Either Israelites teach their enemies to worship the true and living God or their enemies will teach them to worship other gods.

But unfortunately, the Israelites taught by the nations which God wants to be consumed to be totally like them. These are the reasons why their lives spiritually and literally speaking put into danger.

These dangers happened because of DECISION made by Joshua and the men of Israel.

The main reason why they have the wrong decision for themselves and the nation of God: IT IS FOR NOT CONSULTING AND CONSIDERING AND DEPENDING TO GOD'S WILL.

THEREFORE, not consulting and considering God in their decision put their lives into danger.

Because of a wrong decision made by Joshua and men of Israel faces the consequences:

WHAT ARE THOSE CONSEQUENCES

1. Their eyes were blinded by the false doctrine - They become worshippers and followers of other gods.

2.  They become like their enemies

3. They let themselves be devoured by their enemies.

4. They become not what the Lord planned from them as a HOLY NATION.

BRETHREN HOW ARE YOU IN DECISION MAKING?

We actually can be like what Joshua and the men of Israel did when it comes to decision making.

Why? We decide on our selves without CONSIDERING, CONSULTING those decisions to God in our lives or in the situation we were in.

The problem is we learn in our knowledge and understanding. Forgetting Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Leaning on our knowledge or understanding will lead us to the wrong decision. It will only ruin your lives.

That’s the reason why God doesn’t want us just to decide for our own, He wants us to decide, to consider, and to consult Him and His words. God doesn’t want our lives to be ruined and destroyed because of our decisions.

Learn to lean on God especially when we will make a decision in our lives or in every situation we were in is placing our trust in God.

GOD’S DECISION FOR YOUR LIVES IS FOR YOUR GOOD, HE WILL NOT RUIN YOUR LIFE. WE ARE THE ONE WHO RUINS OUR OWN FOR NOT DEPENDING, CONSIDERING, AND CONSULTING GOD’S WILL.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

Letter to my brethren

I pray that your decision in these last days brings you to God wants. I plead the blood of Jesus to cover you, in Jesus' name, Amen.
